OUR STORY

A Message from the Founder

As a native of Bayelsa from the Ijaw Tribe, I grew up around the oil industry. Oil was first discovered in Nigeria in 1959 in Oilibiri town, near my village.

Oil exports from the region of Bayelsa has served as the engine to the development of the western world's energy sector and global economy, producing many of the products they rely on for their everyday life. Yet, growing up, my village didn't have electricity. Even still to this day it does not have steady source of power or light, which is a chronic and crippling problem for Nigeria.

Bayelsa has been giving to the world for decades. It's time for the world to give back, and one way to do this is through Bayelsa LNG

The Government of Bayelsa State is committed to the success of Bayelsa LNG. This flagship project will be the first and only LNG facility operating in the state.
